What should be made

I pose to you this. If The Dukes of Hazard, The Avengers, Starsky and Hutch, The Saint, The Brady Bunch, Bewitched, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Miami Vice, Thunderbirds for gods shake.
Why the hell hasn’t MacGyver and the A Team not being made into films?

It appears to me that the time in between a show not been made any more and a film being made is about twenty years, (like trends each decade tailors its fashion to the two decades previous).

Think how cool MacGyver would be as a film. Mark Walberg or someone near playing Mac, you could take a chance on Vin “I live for this shit” Diesel for a laugh. Robert Knapper (T-Bag in Prison Break) as Murdock. JJ Abrahams could direct and if I were Brian Grazier or Jerry Bruckheimer I would front up with at least 130 Million, (and I would shoot it in New Zealand).

The A team is a little harder to cast. Not being the biggest fan (I was too young to stay up that late, though my Grand dad would often tape it for me) for Hannibal I was looking for a Robert Redford type but he, well, Bob is too old these days, after debate with friends it’s a toss up between George Clooney or Mel Gibson. Though old Mel don’t do ensemble, and George has done enough. Face and Murdock, Luke and Owen Wilson, BA Baracus, Ice Cube, it was the part he was born to play, “I pity the fool who doesn’t like my new music”. And people can you imagine the different films if Michael Mann, Tony Scott, or John Woo directed.

Another show that I think is also long due to be made is “Sledge Hammer”. Limitless potential with this film. Sledge would be played by Sean William Scott, Doreau
by Lindsey Lohan or Jessica Simpson, maybe Jessica Alba. The screaming chief who else but Bill Cosby’s stand-in Samuel “Snakes on a Plane” L Jackson.

Yes with the myriad of crap being churned out lately it’s time we give these shows a chance to come back on the silver screen. Also with MacGyver I think today’s day and age we could more than just allude to Mac’s orientation? Lets just say the Simpson’s had it right, Angus was gay!
